Hello, thank you so much for visiting Obsessive Sounds. My name is Joseph Weisenburger. I am the founder of Obsessive Sounds. I have been producing music for the past 10 years of my life, starting with Garage Band on my mom's iPad. During my transition into using other DAWs, I began to realize how much all the software is. I wanted to spend every waking second making beats, but it continued to get more and more expensive. That is why I created Obsessive Sounds. My goal is to create the highest quality sample packs and sell them for pennies so that anybody can afford them. Making music should not have a cost barrier and should be an art enjoyed by everyone, whether they are rich, poor, young, or old. 

Many musicians do not make their living on music. In fact, according to The Guardian, only 4.4% of musicians earn at least $131,000 a year. (Forde, 2025) Many work full-time jobs or are enrolled in school full-time and cannot justify spending thousands of dollars on music software and hardware. However, Obsessive Sounds doesn't make you choose between quality and cost. Instead, you should expect the highest quality sample packs for the lowest cost.
